The Society of Medical Doctors through a funding from Norwegian Medical Aid is sponsoring the establishment of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Malawi (CPSM). The College will have a mandate to fill a specific gap and enable Malawi to have one umbrella body that would anchor and coordinate specialist doctors’ training, examination, accreditation and CPDs, and promote the profession in general.
CPSM will collaborate and work closely with Training institutions, Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) including Ministry of Health, Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Medical Council of Malawi (MCM), and National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).
